Purpose of the Admin area

The Engage Admin area controls the people, content, recognition, reporting and navigation behind the member experience. These guides are built from the administrator walkthroughs recorded against the Buzzmint demo portal.

Use the member and Admin guides together.Admin pages explain what to configure; module pages show the result experienced by members.

Admin guides

A safe administration workflow

1

Confirm the portal and role

Make sure you are working in the correct client environment with an individual authorised account.

2

Understand the member outcome

Open the relevant member module before changing its administration.

3

Make one controlled change

Avoid changing permissions, content and module status simultaneously.

4

Verify with a representative account

Check the effect using the role and device that matter.

5

Record significant changes

Use the agreed project, support or governance log.

Important boundaries

  • Use least privilege when managing roles and modules.
  • Handle exports and member information according to the client’s policy.
  • Do not delete categories, files or modules before checking dependencies.
  • Test signup links and public-facing content outside the admin session.
  • Escalate uncertainty before changing a live client configuration.

Recording quality notes

The current walkthroughs are sufficient for this first documentation build. Custom Modules and User Roles are broad enough to benefit from shorter task-based clips later, while Categories and Uploads would benefit from a follow-up showing edit/delete and dependency checks. These refinements can replace the videos without changing page URLs.
